Repairs are required infrequently with Intoximeters products, but when the need occurs, it seems to occur at the least opportune time.  The Recertification provides a preventative maintenance solution for Intoximeters instrumentation.  For users that cannot afford downtime the Recertification program is a way to plan for service and reduce the likelihood that an unscheduled repair will occur.
